Title: ВОЛИНСЬКИЙ ПЕРІОД У ТВОРЧОСТІ Т. Г. ШЕВЧЕНКА Authors: Костянко О. П.; Кузьмик О. М. Abstract: У статі досліджено період перебування та творча діяльність Т. Г. Шевченка на Волині, яка пов’язана з його участю в роботі археографічної комісії. Показано, чому Рівне повинно було ввійти в коло зацікавлень Т. Г. Шевченка. Розкрито, що на той час тут ще збереглися руїни замку Любомирських з унікальною колекцією картин та бібліотекою. Визначено, що маршрут подорожі по Волині допомогли йому укладати Микола Костомаров та Петро Чуйкевич, які до приїзду Шевченка працювали у Рівненській гімназії і побували в історичних місцевостях, куди прямував Тарас Шевченко. // The article investigates the period of stay and creative activity of Taras Shevchenko in Volyn region associated with his participation in the Archaeological Commission. It is shown why Rivne was supposed to enter the circle of Shevchenko’s interest. It is revealed that at that time there still were the ruins of the Lubomirski castle with a unique collection of paintings and a library. It is determined that Mykola Kostomarov and Peter Chuykevich who before Shevchenko’s arrival worked in Rivne gymnasium and visited the historic areas where Taras Shevchenko directed helped him to make the route of the journey through Volyn.

Abstract: У статті досліджуються особливості релігійних мотивів у творчості Тараса Шевченка та ставлення поета до Бога і віри взагалі. Акцентується увага на творах, в яких Т. Г. Шевченко звертається до Бога. Проаналізовано вірші поета на релігійну тему. Обґрунтовується, що віра Т. Шевченка – надконфесійна, оскільки поет вже тоді бачив згубність міжконфесійних протистоянь, мав своє як позитивне, так і негативне ставлення до кожної з них. // The article is devoted to the peculiarities of religious motives in the works of Taras Shevchenko and genius Ukraine attitude toward God and faith in general. Attention is paid to the works in which Taras Shevchenko turns to God. Analysis of his poems. The author also points out that faith Shevchenko - the confessional poet had already seen malignancy interfaith confrontation had its positive as well as negative attitudes about each of them.

Abstract: У статті досліджено порівняльні конструкції, які функціонують у ранніх творах Т. Г. Шевченка, з`ясовано їх структуру, семантику та стилістичне навантаження, виокремлено та розглянуто лексико-семантичні групи, виділено найбільш уживані з них, які виступають показником ідіостилю поета, наближують творчу манеру до фольклорних традицій. З'ясовано, що найбільш поширеними є прості за структурою порівняльні звороти з семантикою «людина» – «людина». // The article describes the comparative structures, functioning in the early works of T. G. Shevchenko, their structure, semantic and stylistic peculiarities are defined, lexical and semantic groups as indicator of the individual style of the poet which align his creative manner with Ukrainian folk traditions are marked. It is proved that the most common in the poet’s works are simple comparative structures with the semantics «man» – «man».

Abstract: В статті висвітлено результати спостережень за функціонуванням гіперболізованої метафори у романтичній поемі Т. Г. Шевченка «Гайдамаки» та її перекладі англійською мовою Джона Віра. У роботі розглянуто поняття гіперболізованої метафори у стилістиці англійської та української мови, проаналізовано її функції у художній літературі. Порівняно особливості вживання метафори-гіперболи у тексті оригіналу та у перекладі, проведено аналіз відмінностей, зазначено про стилістичні перетворення, що відбулись у процесі перекладу, та визначено роль уживання гіперболізованої метафори для розкриття авторського задуму. // The scientific exploration elucidates the results of the observations of the functioning hyperbolic metaphors in a Taras Shevchenko’s romantic poem «Gajdamaki» and its English translation by John Weir. The article considers the concept of hyperbolic metaphors in the stylistics of English and Ukrainian languages, their functions in the literature are analyzed. The authors compare the features of the metaphor-hyperbole using in the original text and in translation, examine the differences, note stylistic changes that occurred in the process of translation, determine the role of hyperbolic metaphors using in revealing the author's intention.
